Donald Duke clears the air on his views on Gay Rights

Donald Duke
People around the world are calling for equal rights for all, a movement which has also been taken up by the Nigerian youth
2019 presidential aspirant Donald Duke had been reported to have promised legal protection for LGBT people in Nigeria while interviewing on the show “On the Couch with Falz & Laila.”
The former Cross River State Governor had been quoted to have said:
I don’t understand their sexuality, but I will not criminalise them. I will ensure that they have the protection of the law.
Donald Duke has however released a statement clarifying this.
“Homosexuality is a crime in Nigeria and ought to remain so,” Duke said, but he “would not go seeking homosexuals for prosecution.”
